One Day, Jesus decided to go for a walk to be alone with God. He asked His friends ( Disciples) to go with Him up on the
mountain. The disciples sat down on the grass while Jesus taught them many things about God's laws. Many people followed
Jesus to the mountain. They wanted to hear him teach, too. There were 5000 men and many women and children there.
It was getting late, for Jesus taught a long time, and He healed many people from their sicknesses.. All the people were getting
hungry, it was dinner time. It would take a long time to get to the open markets in towns where they lived. Everyone was tired.
Jesus was sorry that all the people were hungry. There was no food to feed all of them.
There was a young boy who gave his lunch to Jesus; a basket of 5 small loaves of bread and two fish. Do you think perhaps the
5 loaves were muffins that the young boy's mother made? What do you think? Or they could be rolls like the ones we eat
sometimes with our dinner.
Jesus accepted the young boy's lunch and prayed to God to thank Him for the food. Jesus blessed the food. A wonderful miracle
happened. As the disciples handed out the food to the disciples, there was more and more food coming from the basket. There
was enough food to feed everyone and there were 12 baskets full of food left over. God is so good boys and girls, He made sure
that no one went hungry that day. Praise God!
